Each and every one of our employees represent the spirit of our vineyard: driven, committed and passionate. We believe in what we do, and that is why we see the great potential of this proyect to make the best wines of Chile.
VICTOR PINO
Owner
When he was 14 years old, he was responsable for the harvest of his family's state. He loved it. "I became accustomed to being the boss and to the team work with the workers". The scope of Pino's management has vastly expanded over the half-century since those early days in the fields - and his enthusiasm has never wavered. Commercial Director of Chile's government mining group CODELCO, president of the Chile's Maritime Chamber, board member of CSAV and CLARO Group, finally Victor's love of the land eventually brought him into the wine business.
GONZALO PINO
Managing Director
In the middle of a successful career in retail working as Commercial Manager of PARQUE ARAUCO, Gonzalo our managing director, left the big job in the city and went back to the land and the family farm. His focus and patience have brought our little wine firm a long way since. No one will ever know what possessed him, but whatever it was, he marks the occasion once a year when he rolls up his sleeves as he did his first day “after retail”, grabs a shovel, and digs in to help discover one of the fermentation vats.
CYRIL CHAPLOT
Commercial Manager
Cyril our commercial director, was born in France, in a vine growers family of Sainte Magnance, a lesser-known appellation of Burgundy, but grew up in Chile as his father was stationed as cultural attaché by the French government. Back in France to finish his masters, his uncles had already sold the family holdings in Burgundy, much to his chagrin. As fortune would have it, one of his grand father’s neighbors, William Fèvre, had built a winery in Chile and he was looking for someone young to join the organization. Cyril has been with us ever since.
MARITZA MARTÍNEZ
Logistics
When we have a problem , we all call her. Mari, as her friends call her, works with us for more time than anyone else, since 1992, the very same year of the winery creation. With all her experience, she is responsible for delicate areas as labels and transportation. Su personalidad intensa y ejecutiva pero maternal y protectora hace que sea uno de los miembros más queridos de nuestro equipo.
CRISTIÁN ALIAGA
Winemaker
Our winemaker Cristián studied Oenology at Universidad de Chile. He made his first harvests at Errázuriz in Aconcagua Valley. Then he worked for 12 years at Veramonte, in Casablanca Valley, becoming Chief Winemaker. During that period he made harvests in other wineries such as Kendall-Jackson, Paul Hobbs, Saintsbury and Quintessa in California, Villa María in New Zealand and Chateau Dillon in Bordeaux, France. Then he returned to Chile to work in William Fèvre, looking for new challenges in the new Chilean terroirs.
NICOLÁS IANNUZI
Viticulturist
Nicolás's father arrived in the 50's from Italy to Chile looking for a new land. 6 years later he brought his wife and Nicolás was born. He studied Agronomy at Universidad Católica de Chile, and become a research assistent. Then he moved to William Fèvre and has been working on the farm for 25 years since before vines were planted on the Pino's family chestnut and almond groves. It is his patience and dedication that allow this wines to be truly crafted on the vine.
